Mix Media Project

For my mix media project I decided to make a reversed little red riding hood, where little red is actually to wolf. I used several types of collages to create this work. I used wrapping paper to make the trees and the hood. I also photo transfer to get the wolfs head. I used normal wrapping paper and flattened it with gesso to get the moon to look the way I wanted it to. When I was making the trees and the hood I crumpled the paper into balls and rolls to get a more realistic view on the environment

Colored Pencil Final Drawing

For the final drawing I decided to use colored pencil. I used this medium because I found it to be the easiest to control and to blend. For my drawing I made several dice that I decided to draw in blue and green. I had them start very close and slowly fall further and further back into the distance. The hardest part of this project, in my opinion, was getting the point of light right on the dice. It was difficult to evenly blend the shades of blue and green throughout the dice.

Clay Project

For the Clay Project I was assigned desserts. I decided to do ho-hos and cherry tarts. In my opinion the ho-hos came out the best; however, I'm not disappointed with how the tarts came out. the hardest part when making the ho-hos was getting the ends to look realistic and look like an actual ho-ho. The process of actually making the tarts wasn't difficult. The difficult part of them was figuring out how I was to go about making them, and the ideas I had to make them.  

Chalk, Colored Pencil, and Oil Pastel projects.

These two projects were my colored pencil and chalk drawings.

First the colored pencil drawing located on top was a dum dum lollipop. This was probably the easiest of the three drawings and I'm also most pleased with how this one turned out. the most challenging part of this drawing was getting shading and wrinkles of the wrapping to look good. But after I accomplished that, the rest just came together. The second was the chalk drawing. For the chalk drawing I drew a mint in a wrapper. The hardest part of this project would probably be making sure the green and blue chalks didn't mix. Also the wrapper was difficult to make transparent while still visible.

The third project I made was the Pastels. For the Pastels I made a Jolly Rancher in the wrapper. This was, in my opinion, the hardest one of the three. The hardest part was making the colors blend well together. I was satisfied with how the glare of the wrapper turned out, but other than that I wasn't pleased with the outcome of the project.

Inspired Art

For my inspired art project i was assigned to research Frank Stella. Frank Stella was an artist who did most of his work in a minimalist, abstract style. During the making of this art I had to deal with making a lot of straight, small lines. I also had to keep a solid pattern of color while making the large grouping of lines. I also decided that having all of my lines be going the same way would be boring and bland, so at several points in the painting the lines change direction and at some points the create an almost staircase like design. Overall I feel as though this painting came out better than I had anticipated.

Perspective Drawing

For my perspective drawing I decided to do a top-down perspective of a concepted city. Above, you can see the finished image of my perspective city. While I was making this I used several reference photos of cities like New York, and Chicago but from the top-down point of view. During the duration of the drawing I became more acquainted to perspective viewing of cities, especially from the top down view. I also became more known to how to shade from different angles on a top down point of view on a city. Below is a rough draft image of what i was going to do with the picture.

Artists Collaborate
I had help figuring out what i wanted to do for this project, and also how to go about doing it.
I was helped when figuring out whether or not I wanted just the pokeball, or if i wanted more in the background of the piece. 
Artists Take Risks
I wasn't entirely sure if I wanted to the Pokeball or not; however, after consideration I'd decided it was what I was sure i wanted to do.
Creating an extra connection from the Pokeball to the edges of the piece could have been unneeded in the piece and could've even worked against the piece. Although I feel as if it made the piece almost pop out more.
